Everyday it’s new tricks and more cuteness. Mose has a small, but growing repertoire of “animal” sounds. The owl, the fish, and the firetruck are his favorites. We’re trying for some of the more traditional beasts, and while makes a shriek of excitement at real and pictorial cats (usually something like “eeeeeeeee!!”), it’s slow going. [...]

We’ve often been asked if Mose is speaking, and while he’s been chattering and babbling for quite some time, we can now say with certainty that Mose has a word. (Yes, he already has dada and mama, but those often get trotted out far variegated uses.)

We made it out to breakfast at our favorite Sunday locale: Oak Street Cafe. Charles, the regular piano player is working in Greece this summer, but there’s a stand-in who’s doing a great job. Mose digs the piano, as you can see.
